Description
Guadalindie is the videogame fair that aspires to be the event of reference in southern Spain. It was born thanks to the collaboration between the MálagaJam association and FYCMA, from Málaga City Council, and with the support of the National Digital Content Pole. Under the slogan, “where video games flow”, it aims to be a meeting point for professionals, developers and attendees where there will be more than fifty exhibitors so that developers can showcase their video games, international presentations and business and networking areas.
The aim of Guadalindie is to promote the national talent of independent video game creators, to promote Malaga as a leading city for talent, industry and video game culture at a national and industrial level, to give visibility to women and non-binary video game creators working in the sector and to promote gender, racial and thematic diversity in video games.
The aim of the event is to bring the video game industry closer to the south of Spain and to offer an annual event of reference that seeks to bring together two types of public:
– On the one hand, the professional public that seeks to give visibility to their video games, learn from other developers and establish professional relationships.
– On the other hand, the videogame-loving public who want to try out the titles being developed locally and nationally and meet their creators.
There will be a ticket for professionals that will give access to both days of the fair, Friday and Saturday, and one for the general public that will only allow access on Saturday.

History
MálagaJam is the Málaga videogame developers association responsible for organising Guadalindie. Since 2015 we have been organising events such as conferences, meetings and, our strong point, the MálagaJam Weekend; our own game jam held twice a year. In its 17 editions, we have positioned ourselves as a national and global reference, being the headquarters of the largest Global Game Jam in the world, with more than 300 participants and dozens of games created in one weekend. Now we are starting a new stage with FYCMA to bring our message and values to the trade fair format.
